Brief Biography:
Scientific interests: Ecology, physiology and biochemistry of soil fungi and bacteria; role of microorganisms in the transformation of soil organic matter; distribution and properties of extracellular enzymes in the soil environment; the use of fungi in biotechnology; soil microbial ecology and interspecific interactions of microorganisms. Microbial metagenomics and metatranscriptomics. Enzymology and molecular biology of decomposition-related enzymes and their application in biotechnology.
